Update: I have finally completed assembling my cardboard boat. I technically finished building it on Monday though. All of the hot glue has completely cured and I´m gonna start painting with acrylic because I don´t think the oil will do well.
Problem: My problem will most likely be my time. I have volleyball tournaments Thursday, Friday and Saturday and I don´t think I´ll still be at school when B 7/8 arrives.
Solution: I´ll just work on it today as much as possible and then I´ll use my study hall tomorrow if I still don´t finish. I can always come in at lunch. I think I can set up some time for that.
Conclusion: I´m gonna use this class period to completely focus on painting and the shadows. I want to get this done asap. I´m pretty sure that the cardboard will accept the acrylic.

ELP Update #2 (10/3/19)
Update: I´m continuing on the abstract part of the building and closing everything off. I hope that I will be able to finish and paint the whole structure without having to use any of my study halls. I think I´ll use more blues and greys in my paint pallet.
Problem: I´ll have to be careful about shaping and sizing my structure so I don´t lose any points off my final grade. I don´t want things to be too tall so you can really recognize my art project.
Solution: As long as I keep a ruler nearby and keep a keen eye on things I should be okay. I´ll make sure to measure things carefully as I go.
Conclusion: I plan to begin really assembling my whole structure today so I can start painting either at the end of today or on Monday. I´ll let the hot glue cure as I go.

ELP Update #1 (9/24/19)
Update: I´ve begun to hot glue my cardboard pieces together. I plan to paint my free standing with darker colors and heavy shadows.
Problem: I´m not sure if the oil paint will take well to the cardboard. I think it might make the cardboard soggy.
Solution: If that doesn´t work I can always use tempura or maybe acrylic but I wanna stay away from acrylic as much as possible. I think I´ll have to use acrylic though...
Conclusion: I plan to continue assembling the bottom part and shape stuff out as much as possible.
I´ll hopefully finish constructing it by Monday.
